Wild Woman in The Woods

In the mystical woods of Ireland, my photography series is an intimate voyage of self-discovery and transformation. These self-portraits, set against the backdrop of the forest, unravel the intricate connection between body, nature, and catharsis, emerging from a decade-long struggle with depression.

The flesh, the bones, the skin – each element tells a story, a text that maps the journey of a heart. Within the dark woods, I found solace for personal catharsis. The process was a ritual, a communion with the primal forces of nature that mirrored my internal battles.

Immersed in the forest's embrace at dusk, I subjected my body to the cold climate conditions, darkness, and the unfiltered wildlife. The boundaries between self and nature blurred as I ventured beyond my limits, pushing my body to a state that quickened my heart's rhythm. One with the woods, I embraced my entirety – my light and shadow, the wild and the tamed.

Through this series, I invite viewers to journey with me through the depths of despair and into the realm of liberation. These photographs capture my utter vulnerability.
